AMISH APPLE CRISP
This is an excellent old-school take on Apple Crisp using a hot syrup poured over the apples for additional richness and flavor. You can really taste the old-fashioned goodness. For the photo shown, I've used Granny Smith apples with a few yellow Transparent apples from our family hobby farm.

EASY APPLE CRISP
Here's an easy apple crisp! This is a delicious dessert perfect for young cooks to prepare. It's super simple to make since there's no crust-just a crumbly topping. Plus, with apples and oats, it's a wholesome treat. -Sheri Hatten, Devil's Lake, North Dakota

GRANDMA'S OLD-FASHIONED APPLE CRISP
Simple, old-fashioned apple crisp. If you want something simple and homemade on hand, you can double the filling recipe (I use a 5-pound bag of Granny Smith apples) and freeze half of it.

APPLE CRISP - PERFECT AND EASY
I adapted this from a 50-year-old peach crisp recipe. Although it works well with peaches, it works even better with fresh, crisp cooking apples.

AMISH APPLE CRISP
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Use a regular ungreased bread pan for best topping results.
- Peel and core the apples, then cut into eighths. Place into bread pan. Dump in the brown sugar and vanilla, toss with apples until well coated.
- Mix the flour, egg, sugar and baking powder in a small bowl until the egg is the size of rice. Spread this mixture over the apples as evenly as possible. Place the pats of butter onto this topping, spacing them evenly so that the butter will reach as much of the topping as possible as it melts. Sprinkle as much cinnamon as you like on top.
- Place into oven, bake 30 minutes or until golden brown and the apples are boiling.
