This great recipe belonged to my Grandma and requires no cooking.

Steps:

  • Combine the graham cracker crumbs, white sugar and melted butter. Mix together and press into a 9x13 inch cake pan; refrigerate until chilled.
  • Beat together the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar; spread over graham cracker crust.
  • Layer bananas and pineapple over cream cheese mixture; cover fruit with whipped topping.
  • Top with cherries and chopped nuts; refrigerate and serve chilled.

Steps:

  • Crust:
  • Mix graham cracker crumbs and 1 stick of melted butter. Spread evenly across a 9 x 13 pan.
  • Filling:
  • Beat powdered sugar, softened cream cheese, 2 sticks softened butter, and 1 cup Cool Whip. Spread evenly over crust. Layer crushed pineapple over filling. Layer cut bananas over crushed pineapple. Spread the rest of the Cool Whip over bananas.
  • Topping:
  • Top with strawberries or cherries. Top with chopped pecans (optional). Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Chill for at least 1 hour.

When I was a little girl my favorite Aunt made this as a dessert when we visited. She passed the recipe on to my Mom who made it on occasion. I have made this a couple of times for some summer picnics. Always a winner!

Steps:

  • 1. In small bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and 6 tbsp. softened butter. Mix well. Press into bottom of 13x9 baking dish.
  • 2. In medium bowl, combine 2 egg whites, 2 cups powdered sugar, and 1 stick butter. With electric mixer on low, beat until smooth. Spread over graham cracker crust.
  • 3. Slice bananas, place as next layer in baking dish. Drain crushed pineapple and spread over bananas. Layer the strawberries next. Spread cool whip over last layer.
  • 4. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Just prior to serving, sprinkle chopped nuts and diced maraschino cherries on top. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Enjoy!!!

2 c graham cracker crumbs
1 stick + 6 tablespoons softened butter
2 large egg whites
2 c powdered sugar
3-4 large bananas (not over ripened)
1 c sliced fresh strawberries
1 large can crushed pinapple, drained
1 pkg cool whip

APPLEBEE'S COPYCAT MAPLE BUTTER BLONDIES

A family favorite dessert that taste just like the maple butter blondies at Applebee's.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl mix together butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Then stir in baking powder, baking soda, salt and flour until well blended. Fold in the white chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  • Pour the thick batter into a greased 9x9 inch pan. Cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • While the blondies are cooking you can prepared the maple butter sauce.
  • In a medium saucepan combine the maple syrup and butter. Cook over LOW heat until butter is melted. Add brown sugar and softened cream cheese, stirring constantly until cream cheese has melted.
  • After the blondies are done cooking, cut into squares. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle maple butter sauce over all. Top with additional chopped pecans.

Classic Banana Split Cake image

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans. In large bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  • In large bowl, beat butter, shortening and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed about 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in vanilla. Beat in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Continue beating on medium speed 1 minute, scraping bowl constantly.
  • Divide batter among 3 bowls (about 2 1/2 cups each). Stir 2 tablespoons of the strawberry topping and 3 drops of the red food color into batter in one bowl. Stir 2 tablespoons of the pineapple topping and 3 drops of the yellow food color into batter in second bowl. In small bowl, mix cocoa and hot water; stir into batter in third bowl. Pour batters into separate pans.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
  • In medium bowl, mix whipped topping and pudding mix until well blended. Place strawberry cake layer on serving plate; spread with remaining 2 tablespoons strawberry topping. Top with layer of banana slices; spread with 3/4 cup frosting. Top with chocolate cake layer; spread with remaining 2 tablespoons pineapple topping. Top with layer of banana slices; spread with 3/4 cup frosting. Top with pineapple cake layer. Frost side and top of cake with remaining frosting. Drizzle with chocolate topping. Store in refrigerator.
