BACON AND GREEN ONION CHEESE BITES

Bacon and green onion come together in these cheese bites that are made using Pillsbury™ pizza crust - perfect appetizer for a fall gathering.

Bacon and Green Onion Cheese Bites image

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Remove dough from can but do not unroll. Using sharp knife, cut roll into 24 slices. Flatten each slice into 2 1/2-inch round. On cookie sheet, place rounds 1/2 inch apart. Bake 12 minutes, turning over once, until golden brown. Cool 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Spoon 1 teaspoon bacon mixture onto each bread round. Bake 5 minutes longer. Serve warm.

Bacon-Cheese Biscuit Bites image

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, egg and milk until smooth. Stir in the bacon, cheese, onion and half of the tomato; set aside., Cut each biscuit into four pieces; press each piece into a greased miniature muffin cup. Fill with cream cheese mixture; top with remaining tomato., Bake at 375° for 14-16 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Steps:

  • Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat for 6 to 8 minutes, or until evenly brown. Once cooled, crumble and set aside.
  • In a bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, bacon, green onions, and parsley until well blended. Set aside.
  • Cut a small slice from the top of each tomato. Using a melon baller or small spoon, scoop out the inside of each tomato and discard. Fill each tomato with the bacon mixture, and refrigerate for 1 hour. Serve chilled.

  • If using crescent rolls: Unroll dough; separate into 4 rectangles. Press perforations to seal. If using dough sheet: Unroll dough; cut into 4 rectangles.
  • Spoon 1/4 of bacon mixture onto each rectangle; spread to within 1/2 inch from 1 long side. Roll up each rectangle, starting with topped long side and rolling to untopped side. Press edge to seal. With serrated knife, cut each roll into 8 slices. Place cut down side on cookie sheet.
