These are a favorite of my boys. For an extra treat I drop a handful of shredded cheese in.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar and salt. Stir in butter and milk just until moistened. Drop batter on a lightly greased cookie sheet by the tablespoon.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden on the edges, about 8 to 12 minutes. Serve warm.

Steps:

  • Pre-heat your oven to 450°.
  • Mix the Flour, Baking Powder and Salt in a bowl.
  • Stir in the Olive Oil and the Milk and gently mix it into a soft dough - do not over mix!
  • Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking oil or line with parchment or a silicone sheet.
  • Drop 6 mounds of Biscuit dough on the sheet. I use an ice cream scoop.
  • Put them in the oven and turn the heat down to 425°.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

I Love Biscuits and I have been searching for a quick and easy recipe to make in my countertop convection oven. Living in a hot climate - I don't want to heat up the house with the regular oven and besides, I only want a small batch. This is a quick and easy Drop-Biscuit recipe that makes six or seven biscuits. Plus, you can make it Vegan if you like!

Billy's Drop Biscuits for Countertop Convection Ovens image

Steps:

  • Pre-heat your countertop convection oven to 450°.
  • Mix the Flour, Baking Powder and Salt in a bowl.
  • Stir in the Olive Oil and the Milk and gently mix it into a soft dough - do not over mix!
  • Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking oil or line with parchment or a silicone sheet.
  • Drop 6 or 7 mounds of Biscuit dough on the sheet.
  • Put them in the oven and turn the heat down to 425°.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450°. In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a small bowl, whisk milk and egg. Stir into crumb mixture just until moistened. , Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 2 in. apart onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Serve warm.
