Canned Apple Pie Mix Recipes

Steps:

• in a large pan, mix sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add salt and water and mix well. Bring to a boil and cook until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and add lemon juice and food coloring.
• Sterilize canning jars, lids and rings by boiling them in a large pot of water.
• Peel, core, and slice apples. Pack the sliced apples into hot canning jars, leaving a 1/2 inch headspace.
• Fill jars with hot syrup, and gently remove air bubbles with a knife.
• Put lids on and process in a water bath canner for 20 minutes.

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• Pour pie filling into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over apple pie filling and top with melted butter.
• Bake in the preheated oven until the top starts to turn brown, about 40 minutes. Cool cake 15 minutes before serving.

• 2. Wash, peel,core and slice apples. Fill all jars with the sliced apples.
• 3. Blend first 4 ingredients. Add salt and 10 cups of water. Cook until it starts to bubble and thickens. Add lemon juice, food coloring and pour over sliced apples in jars.
• 4. Seal jars up and cook 20 minutes in hot water bath. Makes 8 quarts of delicious apple pie filling that you can use in the winter time for a very good apple pie.
