CHEESY POTATO CASSEROLE FROM ORE-IDA®
Comfort food at its best, this creamy, cheesy casserole with lots of shredded hash browns works either as a main dish or hearty side.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat 13x9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together soup, sour cream, salt and pepper. Stir in cheese, onion and hash browns until well mixed. Spoon evenly into baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix together cereal and butter. Sprinkle evenly on top of hash brown mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 45 to 50 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste if desired. Garnish with additional sliced green onion if desired.

- Mix soup, sour cream and seasonings in large bowl. Stir in potatoes and cheese.
- Spoon into 13x9-inch baking dish. Mix cracker crumbs and margarine; sprinkle over potato mixture.
- Bake 50 min. or until heated through.

Steps:
- Spray a 13" X 9" X 2" baking pan with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
- In a bowl, combine soup, cheese, butter, onion, salt, and pepper. (or one of mixed season salts from above).
- Gently fold the potatoes into the mixture and pour into prepared pan.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes, until heated through and top is browned.
- Note: If you're looking for a one-dish meal you can add ham to this recipe.

- 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Bring the potatoes to a boil in a large pot of cold water. Salt the water and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 20 to 30 minutes.2.
