I modified Beatrice's Excellent Oatmeal cookies very slightly. I came up with something that my boyfriend went CRAZY over! I've never seen him enjoy cookies to that extent! He said I blew his mother's recipe away.

NO BAKE CHOCOLATE OATMEAL DROP COOKIES
Back when I was a kid, my mom always made these around the Holidays. They were always SO good I could never stay out of them! This is one that I HAD to start making for my family during the Holidays. You can omit the raisins and or the pecans, but I've just always followed my Mom's recipe and added them.

OATMEAL DROP COOKIES
My grandmother made this for us when I was very young. Back to the basics. No fancy ingredients, and it turns out great. She got this recipe from her mother, my great grandmother and I got it from her. My great grandmother lived to be 102 & 1/2 years old. This was one of her favorite treats that she ate often. It also brings back good memories just to make this recipe. Four generations still enjoy this.
