KENTUCKY CITRUS CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL
Cheers to this bubbly, bourbon-spiked punch! Serve at Christmas or New Year's for a new spin on champagne.

Steps:
- In large pitcher, stir together bourbon, cranberry juice, liqueur and bitters. Cover; refrigerate 3 hours.
- To serve, pour 3 tablespoons bourbon mixture into each of 12 champagne flutes. Place 1 lime twist in each flute. Pour 1/3 cup champagne into each flute. Garnish with cranberries and lime wedges.

When selecting the Champagne for this cocktail, we wanted something moderately dry but with a hint of sweetness. Demi-sec (a French term meaning "half dry") Champagnes and sparkling wines provide the perfect balance.

Serve this cocktail in a flute so the sugar cube sinks to the bottom - it will drive the bubbles upward. Prosecco, crémant and cava also work well

Steps:
- Put the sugar cube on a small dish, then drizzle with the bitters, turning a few times so it's fully coated.
- Drop the cube into a champagne flute, then top up with the cognac. Slowly pour over the champagne.
- Twist the orange peel over to express the oils, then discard or loop around the stem of the glass.
