EASY ENGLISH SCONES

An easy to make recipe which I found on the internet and adapted (improved!) slightly. (Note: the English don't generally put coconut in their scones, it just adds a little flavour). Serve with thick cream and jam at tea time along with a hot drink. Yum! (See recipe #134673 for alternative).

  • Transfer the somewhat sticky dough onto a floured surface; knead for about a minute, just until it comes together. Be careful not to over-knead the dough. Roll out the dough until it is 1-inch to 2-inches thick.
