Spiced Apple Tea image

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the apple juice, cloves and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes., Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Remove from the heat; add tea bags. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags. Strain juice mixture, discarding cloves and cinnamon. Stir into tea. Serve warm, with additional cinnamon sticks if desired.

Cranberry Apple Tea image

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine the cranberries, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and water.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat.
  • Simmer 5 minutes or until cranberries pop.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the honey.
  • Add the tea bags and let stand 5 minutes, stirring once.
  • Strain through 2 layers of wet cheesecloth.
  • Return to saucepan and add the apple juice.
  • Reheat and serve hot.
  • (keep the extra tea in the fridge and microwave it by the cup if you wish).

  • In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Puree mixture in food processor. Cover and refrigerate.

  • In a large saucepan, combine 3 cups wine, cranberries, brown sugar, orange peel, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves. Cook over medium heat until berries pop, about 15 minutes. Mash slightly and cook 10 minutes longer., Strain and discard pulp, orange peel and spices. Return mixture to pan; stir in the cider, almonds, raisins and remaining wine. Bring to a boil.
