EASY SAUSAGE & RAVIOLI

This saucy combo of frozen ravioli and Italian sausage is sure to please the whole family. "It's great served with garlic bread and a salad." -Misty Williams, Grain Valley, Missouri

Easy Sausage & Ravioli image

Steps:

  • Place sausage in a large skillet and cover with water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain. Cut into bite-size pieces., Meanwhile, cook ravioli according to package directions. In a small saucepan, heat the spaghetti sauce, cheese, garlic powder and pepper until cheese is melted. Drain ravioli; stir in sauce and sausage.

3 Italian sausage links (4 ounces each)
1 package (25 ounces) frozen cheese ravioli
2 cups spaghetti sauce
3/4 cup cubed process cheese (Velveeta)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Cook ravioli according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute sausage and green pepper for 2-3 minutes or until green pepper is tender. Stir in spaghetti sauce; heat through. Drain ravioli; toss with sausage mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.

4 cups frozen cheese ravioli (about 12 ounces)
1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 jar (24 ounces) meatless spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

FROZEN RAVIOLIS WITH SAUSAGE SAUCE

This is a good meal. I came up with it after dinning in an Italian cafe`, I ask for the ravioli recipe and they imformed me they buy it at Walmart in the frozen section. So I created my own Italian dish. Hope yawl will like it! It beats the cans~

Frozen Raviolis with Sausage sauce image

Steps:

  • If I fix this for just my hubby and I, I only prepare 1 bag raviolis. In quart size pan, bring water to boil with salt added. When is a rapid boil, add pkg. raviolis, frozen.
  • While they are boiling, I make up the meat to go in the sauce. In a skillet, I put the oil, just enough to cover a thin layer in the skillet and turn it oon med. heat.
  • I start the onion to frying, first. Then I add some of the garlic powder to the onions. Next you crumble the meat into the skillet and stir to mix with the onion. As it cooks, I add the othjer dried ingrents. And stir occassionally to keep it from sticking.
  • By the time the meat is browned, the Raviolis should be done. You will know this, when they start to float to the top.
  • In same pan you boiled in, add a few pats of margarine and turn on low heat.Add spaghetti sauce to your meat mixture.
  • Pour the Raviolis back into the pan with the butter. Add the meat sauce and gently mix together with wooden spoon.
  • You can use a bowl or plate to serve it in. And you might rather add shredded cheese to the top or sprinkle cheese. Heat the french bread or stix and serve with your dinner. Delisious simpe meal~

- olive or garlic oil

1-2 package(s) bread stix or french bread
2 tablespoon(s) margarine or butter

Top with half the cooked Italian sausage, half of the remaining pasta sauce and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers once, ending with remaining mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake 40 minutes. Remove foil; bake uncovered 10 to 15 minutes longer or until bubbly and hot in center. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped basil and serve.
