FUNYUN AND SWISS SANDWICH

A had this a lot during my pregnancy but an unpregnant co-worker soon fell under it's spell & ate them with me. Very delicious, addicting & easy. You've just got to try it. Connoisseur's & picky eater's beware! What you see is what you get...pure bliss :)

Funyun and Swiss Sandwich image

Steps:

  • You may try & toast bread if preferred but I always had it with a bun untoasted & warmed in the microwave.
  • Place slice of swiss cheese on bread, then desired number of funyuns (make sure enough to cover cheese)then top with 2nd slice of cheese.
  • You can either microwave sandwich until cheese melts or place in oven/toaster oven until cheese melts.
  • Slice & Enjoy!

1 (7 ounce) bag of frito-lay Funyuns onion flavored rings (funsize)
2 slices white bread or 2 slices buns
2 slices swiss cheese

Chicken Funyun Casserole image

Steps:

  • Cover bottom of non-stick skillet with oil and heat. Add chunked chicken and seasonings (I prefer seasoned salt, garlic salt & lemon pepper). Cook till chicken is done (about 8-10 minutes).
  • Cover bottom of casserole dish evenly with 1/2 of the cooked rice then add 1/2 of the cooked and seasoned chicken. Pour 1/2 of the chicken/mushroom soup evenly over the rice and chicken. Repeat the before instructions.
  • Cook in oven on about 300°F till soup is hot (about 5-10 minutes). Take out and let cool for a few minutes. Cover evenly with crushed Funyuns right before serving. ENJOY!

These sandwiches are absolutely AMAZING!! The combination of ingredients with a special sandwich spread helps to create a taste beyond compare. A true delicacy. Garnish with a kosher dill pickle and enjoy!

Tangy Turkey and Swiss Sandwiches image

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, stir together the red onion, thyme, mayonnaise and mustard. Spread some of this mixture onto one side of each slice of bread. Spread butter onto the other side of the slices of bread.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place 4 slices of the bread into the skillet with the butter side down. On each slice of bread, layer 1/4 of the sliced turkey, then 2 slices of tomato, and top with 2 slices of Swiss cheese. Place remaining slices of bread over the top with the butter side up. When the bottoms of the sandwiches are golden brown, flip over, and cook until golden on the other side.
