PEANUT CHEWIES
Salty and sweet combination. This recipe is a 'keeper'!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 1 teaspoon vanilla and egg yolks. Mix on low speed with an electric mixer until crumbly.
- Press firmly into bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 12- 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Immediately sprinkle marshmallows over top and return to oven for 2 - 2 1/2 minutes. Let cool while preparing topping.
- To Make Topping: In a large saucepan over low heat combine corn syrup, 1/4 cup butter or margarine, 2 teaspoons vanilla and peanut butter chips until smoothly melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in cereal and nuts. Immediately spoon over marshmallows, spreading to cover. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into 36 bars.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease a 13x9x2 baking pan.
- Beat eggs until light and foamy.
- Beat in sugar, vanilla and melted butter until creamy.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add to egg mixture, mixing at low speed until well blended (mixture will be stiff).
- Stir in nuts by hand.
- Spread evenly in prepared baking pan and bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes or until top is light brown.
- Cool at least 15 minutes on wire rack before cutting into bars.

Steps:
- Place dates in water and bring water to a boil. Cover, remove from heat, and set aside to let dates to soften. If your dates are really soft, you may skip this step.
- Meanwhile, grind the almonds in a food processor until fine. Add cashews and grind until fine. Add walnuts and grind until fine. Remove dates from water and add to food processor along with remaining ingredients and process until mixture is well combined.
- With your hands, form a ball using about 2 teaspoons of mixture at a time. Roll each ball in coconut. Serve and enjoy!
