HOMEMADE TOMATO BEER

This is the only way I enjoy drinking beer- and I love tomato juice. My dad introduced me to this concoctions when I was in my twenties. It is so smooth and refreshing- a great holiday drink!

Homemade Tomato Beer image

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients , Except celery and bacon strips and pour over ice in 2 glasses. Add celery stalk and bacon strip to each glass. Stir and sip. Cheers! Bacon can be threaded on cocktail picks- rest on edge of glasses.

12 oz your favorite beer ( i choose light)
2 c tomato juice
2 Tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp horseradish juice
2 large celery stalk
2 slice bacon, cooked crisp -so it stands straight

SPICY RED BEER

Steps:

  • In a frosted beer mug filled with ice, combine tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and a splash of olive juice. Pour in cold beer. Garnish with olive.

Ice cubes
1/2 cup tomato juice
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 dash hot sauce
Splash olive juice
1 (12-ounce) bottle ale style beer
Pimento stuffed olive, for garnish

TOMATO BEER

When I'm lazy (frequent occurence) and if I'm going to drink beer throughout the weekend (to endure weekend guests), I often drink Tomato Beer. It also keeps me "regular". Tastes great and won't dehydrate you like straight beer.

  • Add a shot of tomato juice to the ale in a pilsner glass.
  • Cook's Note: If you add a splash of hot sauce, this drink becomes a Ruddy Mary.

8 ounces English dark ale or Pilsner
1 shot (1-ounce or 2 tablespoons) fresh tomato juice

Steps:

  • 1. take big sauce pot and add your olive oil with your onions and cook until translucent. Then add your garlic and cook until garlic is golden brown.
  • 2. Add your 2 cans of diced tomatoes, add a can of water and let cook until your sauce comes to a simmer. When your sauce comes to a simmer add 2Tbsp of sugar, keep stirring until sugar is dissolved and add your basil leaves.
  • 3. Add 2 Bottles of beer to the tomato sauce and let the sauce come to a boil then cook on med/low heat and you could add your cooked sausage or chicken, or just let cook on low if you are keeping the sauce plain.
  • 4. while your sauce is cooking. Add 2 bottles of beer in a pot and fill the pot the rest of the way with water. Add salt to cut the bitterness. Cook on high when the water comes to a boil add your Pasta and cook until al dente.
  • 5. Drain your pasta. Top your pasta with the delicious beer sauce, add some Parmesan cheese if desired and enjoy!!

1 lb cooked sweet italian sausages (optional, you could sub with cooked chicken or keep plain)
4 bottle budweiser beer or similar beer
4 Tbsp olive oil
1 sweet onion, diced
2 clove garlic, minced
2 - 29 oz cans of diced tomatoes
3 - 4 pieces of basil or a few shakes of dried basil
2 lb penne pasta or pasta of your choice
2 Tbsp sugar ( for reduction of acid in sauce)
