HONEY SOUR CREAM COLE SLAW
I created this recipe using ingredients on hand, & thought HONEY would make a sweet addition to the Cole Slaw instead of the usual sugar that I usually use. I thought blending the Mayonnaise with the Sour Cream would also be a great idea. I made this to go with Irish Sausage Sweet Peppers & onions, Recipe already posted here,...

Steps:
- 1. Cut Small head of cabbage in half and remove core with a sharp knife, then shred finely and add to a large bowl.
- 2. Wash peel and grate or shred carrots.
- 3. Add to bowl of shredded cabbage.
- 4. Then add onion powder & Black Pepper I prefer using the coarse Restaurant Style. Or you can wait & add it to the Mayonnaise & Sour cream mixture, either way is okay.
- 5. Next add apple cider vinegar to a small jar with lid, then add honey, and shake well to blend, till mixed together and save to add it to the mayonnaise and sour cream mixture.
- 6. Add mayonnaise, sour Cream, and beat together to blend in a medium size bowl.Be sure to add the chopped green onion, and chopped chive, & salt if using, and blend well.
- 7. Add mayonnaise mixture to shredded cabbage & carrots, and stir till mixture is evenly blended together. Taste and make adjustments if need be.
- 8. Serve and enjoy. Garnish with green onion tops if desired. I discovered that this slaw added a crunchy addition to my Irish Sausage. Sausage and Cole Slaw all in one bite. Try it, you may like it too. The link for the Irish sausage with sweet peppers is https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/pork/irish-sausage-links-with-peppers.html
CLASSIC CREAMY COLESLAW
This is our go-to recipe for creamy coleslaw. Freshly shredded green and red cabbage and carrots are tossed with a tangy, creamy dressing made up of mayonnaise, sour cream and cider vinegar. We also use dry mustard to add a subtle kick and celery salt and honey for a touch of sweetness. It's perfect for your next cookout!

CREAMY COLESLAW
For me, this is the best coleslaw recipe because a package of shredded cabbage and carrots really cuts down on prep time. This creamy coleslaw recipe is great for potlucks or to serve to your family on a busy weeknight. -Renee Endress, Galva, Illinois

- Securely hold the green cabbage, and carefully cut down through the stem to create two halves. Place the cut side down on the cutting board. Cut each cabbage half into quarters by cutting down through the stem. Flip the quarters over and carefully remove the thick core with a knife. There should be four wedges. Repeat the process with the purple cabbage.
- Use a chef's knife to cut the green and green cabbage into ¼-inch thick slices, or use a mandoline to shred the cabbage.
- Peel and shred the carrots using a grater, peeler, or cut them into ⅛-inch thick slices. For convenience, pre-shredded carrots can be used.
