Steps:
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease a 1/4 sheet pan or two 8x12 inch baking dishes. Generously butter a heavy 2 quart saucepan.
- Distribute popcorn evenly in prepared baking pans. Place in oven to keep warm.
- In prepared saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, gelatin, corn syrup and water. Heat to 250 to 265 degrees F (121 to 129 degrees C), or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a rigid ball.
- Pour mixture evenly over popcorn and stir until coated. Return popcorn to oven and bake 5 minutes; stir, then bake 5 minutes more.
- Turn popcorn out onto a large piece of foil. Let rest until cool enough to handle, then form into balls. Or let cool completely and break into clusters. Store in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place.

When the kids were little I had to send snacks for snack day at school when it came our time...I used to popcorn and have my old maid hunters do their job...then I would sprinkle Jello over the popcorn, but I got to thinking about adding it to my marshmallow popcorn balls...They are pretty good I must say....this has a flavor all...

- 1. Place a Medium to large bag of popcorn (pre-popped) into a large pot. If you do not have a pot you may wash your sink good and dry it good to use it.
- 2. In a dutch oven, put butter and marshmallows and food color into pan. Turn heat to medium and stir constantly till marshmallows are all melter starting to bubble, sprinkle dry Jello in gradually mixing thoroughly . Pour over popcorn, stir into popcorn, mix good.
- 3. Grease your hands with the shortening real well and start making your popcorn balls by pressing in good and hard till firm about the size of a softball.
- 4. After you have finished you may put each one into a zip lock sandwich bag. Have fun and Enjoy......

- Bring to a boil and cook just till jello and sugar are dissolved.
- Pour over popcorn and mix well and fast.
- Wet your hands under cold water, shake it off don't dry it and work quickly forming popcorn balls.
- As you make them , wrap them in squares of wax paper.
- Re-wet your hands in between forming.
- The amount you get will depend on how big you make them -- cook time is left blank because it will vary.

- Place popped popcorn in a large bowl, lightly buttered.
- Bring the corn syrup and jello mix to a boil in a saucepan.
- Boil over medium heat until mixture separates into a hard thread when dropped into very cold water, about 6 to 7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and pour over popcorn, mixing quickly to coat well. Let stand for about 3 to 5 minutes and with your hands buttered, shape into 1-1/2 inch balls.

- Spray large roasting pan with cooking spray; add popcorn and place in 300F oven until warm. (Popcorn can also be warmed in a large microwave safe bowl for 1 to 2 minutes on HIGH (100%) power.)
