KIM'S CROCK POT SALISBURY STEAK

This is my recipe. I just kept adding stuff until I thought it tasted good. This is one of my son's favorite meals. I serve it with mashed potatoes and a veggie. Hope you enjoy it.

Steps:

  • Put into crock pot cube steaks, 3 cups water, French onion soup mix, bouillon cubes, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cook on high for 4 - 6 hours or until meat is tender enough for you and not pink in the middle.
  • Mix together remaining water and all purpose flour with a fork or wire whisk until it is lump free.
  • Pour mixture into crock pot while stirring constantly.
  • Replace lid and allow to cook on high for 30 minutes.

1 - envelope dry french onion soup mix
3 - beef bouillon cubes
1 1/4 cup(s) water
1 1/4 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together beef, onion mushroom soup mix, crushed saltine crackers, egg, and milk. Using your hands, shape beef mixture into 8 patties. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Dredge the patties in flour to coat and brown on both sides. Place the browned patties into the slow cooker (overlapping is ok) In a medium bowl, prepare the brown gravy according to package instructions. Mix in both cans of mushroom soup; pour gravy mixture over the patties. Cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours, or until beef is done.

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 package onion mushroom soup mix
1/2 cup crushed saltine crackers
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup flour
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 package brown gravy mix
