Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Place pear halves, cut side up, in a shallow 1-qt. baking dish. Place butter in the center of each; drizzle with lemon juice. , Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over pears. Top with marmalade. Bake, covered, until heated through, 15-20 minutes.

Creamy Baked Pears image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar into buttered dish.
  • Rub remaining 1 tablespoon butter over pear halves; arrange pears cut sides down in prepared baking dish and sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon sugar.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Pour cream over pears and continue baking until tender, about 20 minutes more.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cut top quarter of pears off; create a well by scooping out the core, being careful not to puncture the bottom of the pear. Arrange pears in a shallow baking dish.
  • Drizzle maple syrup over pears. Place 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter in each pear; sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Bake in preheated oven until pears are easily pierced with a fork, 35 to 50 minutes. Serve with ice cream.

Kirsch-Cream Baked Pears image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Peel, quarter length-wise, and core pears. Set aside.
  • In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add pears and cook for one minute.
  • Sprinkle with sugar and 1/4 cup of kirsch.
  • Cook over medium heat turning pears frequently until they are tender.(About 15 minutes).
  • Arrange pears, cut-side down in 9x9 baking dish.
  • Add to the skillet 1/4 cup of cream. Bring to a boil over high heat until sauce begins to thicken, then pour over the pears.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until cream sets a skin.
  • Serve immediately!

Steps:

  • Core pears from bottom, leaving stems intact. Peel pears. Cut 1/4 in. from bottom to level if necessary. Place in a large saucepan; add the water, vanilla, cinnamon stick and nutmeg. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 35-40 minutes or until pears are almost tender., Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and cinnamon. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Cool. , Drain pears; place on dessert plates. Drizzle with chocolate sauce.
