Moms Cherry Cake Recipes

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350.
• Combine first three ingredients in a saucepan and heat. Do Not boil.
• Mix rest of ingredients well with electric mixer or stir well.
• Pour batter into greased and floured 9x13 baking pan.
• Pour heated cherry mixture over the batter. Do not mix.
• Bake 350 for about 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
• Serve warm with vanilla ice cream on top (optional).

Line bottoms of 2 greased 9-in. round baking pans with parchment; grease paper., In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 minutes before removing to wire racks; remove paper. Cool completely., In a large bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla; beat until stiff peaks form. Place 1 cake layer on a serving plate; spread top with half the whipped cream. Top with remaining cake layer; spread with remaining whipped cream. Decorate with cherries.
