COOKIES AND CRèME BRûLéE RECIPE BY TASTY

Here's what you need: heavy cream, chocolate sandwich cookies, vanilla extract, egg yolks, sugar

Cookies and Crème Brûlée Recipe by Tasty image

Steps:

  • Separate sandwich cookies by gently twisting them apart. Put the cookies in one bowl and the filling in another.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, heat heavy cream and cream filling, whisking until the filling has melted but stopping just before boil.
  • Add vanilla and remove from heat. Cover and set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and half of the sugar. Add the cream mixture a little at a time, tempering the egg yolks until all incorporated.
  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Place ramekins on a baking pan and fill to the top with cream mixture.
  • In a ziplock bag, crush the cookies until fine.
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the cookie crumbs over each ramekin.
  • Fill the pan with boiling water.
  • Bake for 45 minutes.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • When set, add 2 teaspoons of sugar to the tops of the ramekins. Shake to make even, and broil or torch until the sugar is caramelized.
  • Enjoy!

Steps:

  • In a microwave or in a large saucepan over low heat, melt marshmallows and oil; stir until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in cereal and 1 cup chopped Oreos. Press mixture into a lightly-greased 13x9-in. baking pan using wax paper or a lightly-greased spatula. Cool to room temperature. Spread melted white baking chips on top; sprinkle with remaining 1 cup chopped Oreos. Cut into bars.

Steps:

  • In a large mixer, on low speed, beat the egg yolks and sugar, lightly. Add the cream gradually until completely combined. Mix in the coconut products and the cookie pieces.
  • Pour into 4 ounce ramekins in a hot water bath. Bake at 325F for 1 hour or until a knife comes out clean.
  • Remove from water bath and cool for 10 minutes. Refrigerate until needed.
  • Sprinkle 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar over the surface and caramelize with a broiler or blow torch. Garnish with whipped cream, coconut and cookie pieces.

Oatmeal Brulee with Ginger Cream image

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the cream, ginger, cinnamon stick and orange zest; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat; strain and discard solids. Stir in syrup and nutmeg., In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil; stir in the oats, apricots, cherries and salt. Reduce heat to medium; cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat; stir in brown sugar and 1/4 cup ginger cream. Let stand, covered, for 2 minutes., Grease four 10-oz. broiler-safe ramekins with butter; place on a baking sheet. Divide raspberries among ramekins. Spoon oatmeal over raspberries; sprinkle evenly with sugar. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 7-9 minutes or until sugar is caramelized. Serve with remaining ginger cream.
