Pumpkin Caipirinha Recipes

Steps:

• Place all but 1 lime wedge in bottom of an old-fashioned glass with a little bit of crushed ice and simple syrup. Muddle all ingredients together until well blended. Fill the glass with crushed ice; pour in the Cachaca, the remaining simple syrup and the passion fruit puree. Shake vigorously and serve with a straw and the remaining lime wedge.

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
• Cut pumpkin in half; scrape out seeds.
• Drizzle pumpkin with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. (Omit pepper if using in sweet dishes.)
• Place cut side down on a baking sheet. Roast until very soft, about 35 to 45 minutes.

Steps:

• Cut the lime in quarters then cut them crosswise.
• Put lime and sugar in a tall glass and mash with a pestle (or a wood spoon, rolling pin, etc).
• Add the same amount of liquor on the lime juice and stirr.
• Add ice and stirr again.
• Here in Brazil, the guys that sell it at the beach put another glass upside down over it, hold both with one hand and shake.
• Great trick at parties.

Steps:

• Cut lime and place in a shaker with agave nectar and muddle.
• Add crushed ice, Leblon Cachaca, pumpkin puree and Canton in the shaker.
• Shake well and pour into an old fashioned glass.
• Garnish with nutmeg, pumpkin flesh twist and lime wheel.
