Steps:
- 1. Spread Fruit in 8 x8 , baking pan, sprinkle with lemon juice Set aside Stir together flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt Mix in small pieces of butter then stir in milk. Makes a thick batter. Spread mixture over fruit and to edges of pan. Mix the remaining sugar and cornstarch. Sprinkle over batter. pour boiling water over all
- 2. Bake in a preheated 350 oven for 1 hour or until top is nice and brown.
- 3. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream

- 1. spray a 13X9 pan and spread fruit over the bottom
- 2. in a large mixing bowl combine all the batter ingredients. batter will be thick.**flour, sugar, milk, salt, b powder, margarmine.
- 3. spoon batter over fruit. spread with a spatula to try to cover.
- 4. combine the corn starch and sugar
- 5. sprinkle over top of batter
- 6. pour the boiling water over the top
- 7. bake at 350 degrees for one hour until golden brown.
FRUIT COBBLER
My son took first place in a baking contest with this one. Serve warm or cold plain, with ice cream or whipped cream. When I use apples, a sprinkle of cinnamon or apple pie spice makes a nice touch. In place of peaches, try using apples or plums.

- Melt butter or margarine in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Set aside to cool.
- Stir together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Mix in milk and vanilla. Pour batter over melted butter. DO NOT MIX OR STIR. Spoon fruit with juice over the batter. DO NOT MIX OR STIR.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 55 minutes.
