SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS FROM HEINZ
This zesty meatball recipe is always a hit with any crowd. The basic, two-ingredient sauce can be switched up by simply combining Heinz Chili Sauce with any sweet spread such as peach jam, grape jelly or mango chutney. And, for the ultimate shortcut, you can use prepared meatballs.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Gently blend beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, salt and pepper until evenly combined. Form into about 40 bite-sized meatballs.
- Place meatballs on a foil-lined, rimmed baking sheet; bake for 20 minutes or until cooked all the way through.
- Combine chili sauce and jelly in a saucepan set over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until jelly dissolves, about 5 minutes.
- Add cooked meatballs to the sauce; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes. Makes 8 servings.

- In a large bowl, combine beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Roll into meatballs about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in size.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, saute the meatballs until browned on all sides.
- In a separate medium bowl, mix together the water, vinegar, ketchup, cornstarch, sugar and soy sauce. Pour over the meatballs, and allow sauce to thicken. Continue to heat until the sauce just starts to bubble.

These meatballs use pecan meal as a meat replacement. They are so good, you don't even miss the meat! This recipe does have eggs and cheese in it, so it is not quite vegan. But those items can be substituted to make it so. The ingredients may sound funny, but the result is amazing! The sauce is very zesty so if you don't want it to be too strong cut down on the vinegar some.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch rectangular baking dish with cooking spray.
- Mix the ground pecans, eggs, Colby-Jack cheese, minced onion, Italian seasoning, cornflake crumbs, and salt in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Add another egg if mixture isn't holding together. Shape the mixture into balls, and place into the prepared baking dish.
