Surprise Cheese Balls Recipes

Steps:

• Mix 8 ounces softened cream cheese with 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest and 1 cup shredded firm cheese (like cheddar, parmesan, pepper jack or gouda); season with salt and pepper. With moistened hands, form into 1-inch balls, chill 4 hours, then roll in toppings. Here we used chopped pistachios, chives, tarragon, hulled pumpkin seeds, bacon with paprika, almonds, and black and white sesame seeds.

Steps:

• In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, and dressing mix. Form into one large ball or two smaller balls. Roll in chopped pecans to coat surface. Decorate the top with pecan halves. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.

• Place cheddar and cream cheese at room temperature for about 1 hour to soften.
• In a bowl mix Heinz 57 sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder until well blended.
• Add cheese and roll into ball shape.
• Shake chili powder onto waxed paper and roll ball until covered.

• Place immeadiately into refrigerator to chill to keep ball shape.

• Rinse and pat dry 16 seedless grapes. In a small bowl, stir 1 container (8 oz.) softened neufchatel cream cheese and 2 teaspoons lemon juice until blended. With moistened fingers, wrap about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture around each grape. Roll each ball in 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans. Place on a plate. Chill at least 1 hour.To serve, insert picks if desired.
