SWEET AND SOUR HOT DOG BITES
I know, I know. This sounds like a silly recipe for someone who doesn't know anything about cooking or food. BUT I got this recipe from a friend. She was serving it at an open house and everyone LOVED them and wanted more. Its just too easy.

Steps:
- 1. Mix together mustard and jelly. Heat gradually while stirring to mix completely.
- 2. Cook hot dogs in water. Slice hot dogs into 4-6 pieces each. Add hot dog pieces to sauce and cook on warm for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot as an appetizer.

- In a Dutch oven, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink, 8-10 minutes, breaking into crumbles; drain. Stir in tomato paste; cook and stir 3 minutes. Stir in next 13 ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve sauce over hot dogs in buns. Add optional toppings as desired., Freeze option: Freeze cooled sauce in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a covered saucepan, stirring occasionally; add water if necessary.

- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Combine the first 3 ingredients and 1 tablespoon Sriracha in a small bowl.
- Brush hot dogs with remaining 1 tablespoon Sriracha. Grill hot dogs, covered with grill lid, 4 - 6 minutes or until thoroughtly heated.
- Place hot dogs in buns and top with mayonnaise mixture. Sprinkle with chopped pickles and cabbage.

- Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat on the stove, then reduce to medium-low and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a container you can cover and put in the fridge. Chill until ready to use.
- Grill beef franks over medium heat for about 5-6 minutes, turning throughout to allow for even cooking on all sides. Also, place sliced onion rings on the grill and allow to cook until the hot dogs are done.
- Assemble hot dogs by placing slaw or lettuce (if desired) on the bottom of the bun. Next, add the hot dog, avocado slices, grilled onions, and pickles (if desired). Drizzle hot dogs with bbq sauce. Serve immediately, enjoy!
