- In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple, ginger, garlic and sesame oil; set aside., In a large bowl, combine the egg white, bread crumbs, onions, crushed pineapple and 3 tablespoons ketchup mixture. Crumble beef and turkey over mixture and mix well. Shape into six burgers., Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 165° and juices run clear, brushing occasionally with remaining ketchup mixture., Grill or broil pineapple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side or until heated through. Serve burgers and pineapple on buns with lettuce and tomato.

- In a large bowl, combine the beef and water chestnuts. Shape into six patties. Place in a 13x9-in. dish. , In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sherry or broth, onions, brown sugar, garlic and ginger. Pour 1/2 cup over patties; cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting. , Drain and discard marinade. Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack. Grill patties, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear, basting occasionally with reserved marinade. TERIYAKI PORK AND BEEF BURGER
Steps:
- Combine the ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic and 1 tablespoon each salt and pepper in a large bowl; stir until well mixed. Form the mixture into 6 balls. Press 1 teaspoon butter into the center of each ball; wrap the meat around the butter to enclose it and form a patty. Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Combine 1 tablespoon of the brown sugar, half of the pineapple and the dragon fruit and cilantro in a medium bowl. Toss until well mixed. Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high.
- Combine the soy sauce, ginger and the remaining pineapple and brown sugar in a large skillet. Bring to boil, then reduce the heat and maintain a gentle simmer. Remove the patties from the refrigerator and let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook, flipping halfway through, until no longer pink in the center, 6 to 8 minutes. As the patties finish cooking, transfer them to the simmering sauce and cook, rotating in the sauce, until they are well coated and have absorbed some of the sauce, about 1 minute.
- Place each patty on a bun, top with some of the salsa and serve hot.
PINEAPPLE TERIYAKI BURGERS
Steps:
- Set up grill for direct cooking over high heat. Oil grate when ready to start cooking.
- In a mixing bowl, stir to combine ground beef, soup mix, teriyaki marinade mix, and 1/4 cup reserved pineapple juice.
- Form 4 patties slightly larger than bun. Gently press pineapple rings into tops of burgers.
- Season burgers with salt and pepper and place on grill pineapple side down. Cook 8 minutes per side for medium.
- Mix together mayonnaise, wasabi, and soy sauce.
- Serve hot on toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, onions, and wasabi mayonnaise.
- INDOORS: Follow instructions for preparing burgers. Preheat broiler. Place burgers pineapple side up on wire rack over foil lined baking sheet or broiler pan. Broil 6 inches from heat source for 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium.

Steps:
- Combine marinade, sweet chilli sauce, 1 tbs oil, 1 tbs golden syrup and ginger in ceramic dish.
- Add steaks, turn to coat and marinate in refrigerator 2 hours or longer.
- Place onions in microwave safe bowl. Cover with lid and microwave on high for 3 minutes. Stir after 1 1/2 minutes. Stir through remaining syrup. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
- Preheat bbq plate until hot.
- Grease plate with remaining oil.
- Add onions, tossing for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to plate and keep warm.
- Cook steaks until cooked to your liking.
- Arrange lettuce leaves amd carrots on rolls, top with 2 pieces steak and onions.
- Serve with potato crisps.
