UPSIDE DOWN QUICHE
I don't use recipes, I just cook what sounds good & this worked well. Adjust according to your tastes & you will love it! I make it in my "ready, set, go" cooker for individual servings for work. :)

Steps:
- Mix eggs, milk, garlic powder. Add spinach, mushroom, black olives, & bacon & blend thoroughly. Add remaining and additional items. Spray baking dish with Pam & pour mixture into dish. Lay 1 layer of crescent roll dough on top & bake. You can sprinkle shredded cheese on top before/after baking.
- If cooking in traditional oven, allow at least 25 minutes for cooking (make sure eggs are done). If using "ready, set, go" takes about 15 min if using full area.
- Can pre-prepare basic & add items according to individual tastes in a large family or party situation.

- Heat oven to 425° F. Grease 9-inch pie plate and set aside. Combine meat, green pepper, and onion in bowl. In another bowl, thoroughly combine mayonnaise, milk or half-and-half, eggs, cornstarch, cheese, herb seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir both mixtures together and pour into prepared pie plate. Roll out pastry and cover filling. Turn under edges and crimp cut 2 or 3 steam vents in crust. Bake for 10 minutes reduce heat to 375° F and continue baking for 20 to 30 minutes until filling is set and crust is golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.* A purchased frozen pie shell, thawed, may be used.

- Make The Pastry - Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl. Add the shortening and butter and rub them into the flour with your hands until the mixture is coarse and sandy with some larger bits of butter. Place the bowl in the freezer for 20 minutes for the butter to harden.
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF/180ºC. Remove the bowl from the freezer. Add the ice water to the bowl by the tablespoon and mix it together with a fork. Around the 5 to 6 tablespoon mark the dough should hold together in a ball when pressed together with the fork.
- Dust a work surface with flour and turn out the dough. Flour the top of the dough and gently roll it with a rolling pin. Roll the dough slightly larger than the circumference of a 9-inch/23-cm pie plate.
- Gently turn the pie plate upside down on top of the dough. Use a paring knife to trim around the pie plate, leaving a 1-inch/2.5-cm border around the dish. Starting at one edge of the dough carefully roll it around the rolling pin all the way to the other side. Lift the rolling pin up and over onto the pie plate and roll the dough so it drapes over the entire top of the plate. Carefully adjust the dough to center it in the pie plate if necessary.
