SWEET-AND-SOUR CHICKEN NOODLES RECIPE BY TASTY

Sweet-and-sour Chicken Noodles Recipe by Tasty image

Steps:

  • Sear the chicken until golden brown in the pan with the salt and pepper. Take out and set aside.
  • In the same pan, fry the garlic and red pepper for a couple of minutes before stirring in the soy sauce, ketchup, and vinegar.
  • Add the chicken and noodles, and mix together for another couple of minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds.
  • Enjoy!

Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Noodles image

Steps:

  • In a large skillet sauté onion, bell peppers and celery in juice from pineapple chunks until tender. Add pineapple chunks, heat through.
  • Prepare Shirataki noodles according to package directions. Add to skillet, heat through.
  • Combine all the sauce ingredients in small bowl, whisk thoroughly. Add sauce to skillet, heat until thickened.

1 white onion (chunked)
2 green bell peppers (chunked)
2 celery ribs (thinly sliced)
20 ounces pineapple chunks, in natural juices no sugar added (1 lg can)
24 ounces shirataki noodles (2 packages)
1 cup rice vinegar or 1 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons ketchup (you can use tomato paste to avoid the sugar in ketchup)
3 tablespoons cornstarch
