JUMBO DARK CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Jumbo Dark Chocolate Cookies image

Steps:

  • PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease.
  • MELT 2/3 cup morsels in microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 30 seconds; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. Microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Set aside.
  • SIFT flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt into medium bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add melted chocolate and mix well. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended, about 1 minute. Add flour mixture, mixing just until blended. Stir in remaining 1 cup morsels. Drop dough by level 1/4-cup measure 3 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets.
  • BAKE for 16 to 18 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs and the tops have a cracked appearance. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

YUMMY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

They may sound difficult, but I could seriously burn water and created this recipe myself. I tend not to use actual measurements (I like them really chocolaty), but stick close to what I have here. Everyone who has ever tasted them, loves them... And if I can make them, anyone can.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the shortening, white sugar, brown sugar and honey until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the oats, cereal, jumbo chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C Line baking trays with baking paper.
  • Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  • Melt 100 grams of dark chocolate with butter in a small heat proof bowl set on top of a pan of simmering water. Cool slightly.
  • Gradually fold in flour mixture in 2 batches.
  • Fold in chocolate bits. You can add in crushed walnuts as well.
  • Spoon tsp of cookie dough on to trays abt 2 inches apart. Bake for 15 minutes. Cookies will be slightly soft.
