Chips of chocolate and butterscotch are a doubly delicious addition to these lovely layered cookie bars.

Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (325 degrees F for glass baking pan). In small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and butter; mix well. Press crumb mixture firmly on bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture. Layer evenly with remaining ingredients; press down firmly with fork.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Chill if desired. Cut into bars or diamonds. Store covered at room temperature.

everyone calls them 7layer, but i can't count milk as a layer.(-: this is my kind of recipe, no talent needed, just layer goodies into the pan.

Steps:

  • 1. preheat oven to 350°F
  • 2. put butter in 13x9 baking pan and melt in oven. coat bottom and sides of pan with butter
  • 3. spread cracker crumbs in pan and press to bottom. layer in your chips, one flavor at a time. (although, they kind of mix together anyway) layer in the nuts, then cover with coconut, pour milk evenly over the top.
  • 4. stick the pan back into the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. pull it out and let it cool, then put it in the fridge to set, cut to whatever size cookies you like. (i use combination of pizza cutter and butter knife)

1 stick butter
1 1/2 c graham crackers, crushed (i like the chocolate ones)
1 1/2 c coconut, shredded
1 c chocolate chips
1 c peanut butter chips
1 c butterscotch chips
1 c chopped nuts (your choice)
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk (14oz)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line 8-inch square pan with foil, allowing some to hang over edges of pan. Grease bottom and sides of foil with shortening or cooking spray. Make brownie batter as directed on box. Spread in pan.
  • Bake 35 to 38 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean.
  • Top with coconut, toffee bits, chocolate chips and pecans. Drizzle evenly with condensed milk. Bake 18 to 22 minutes longer or until golden brown and bubbling along edges. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 3 hours. Using foil to lift, remove brownies from pan, and peel foil away. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.

Layer Cookies (Magic Layer Bars) image

Steps:

  • Place melted butter in a 9 x 13 baking pan. Spread graham cracker crumbs over top. (I actually prefer to melt my butter in the microwave, mix in the graham cracker crumbs and then pat into the pan. It makes a more even bottom crust, I think.).
  • Layer the coconut and chips in order given. Pour sweetened condensed milk over all. Top with nuts. DO NOT mix together.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. (Please check earlier if your oven runs hot!).

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup graham cracker, crushed to crumbs
1 cup flaked coconut
6 ounces chocolate chips (1 cup)
6 ounces butterscotch chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Melt butter in a 9" x 13" oven-proof casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle graham wafer crumbs on bottom and half way up sides of dish.
  • Sprinkle coconut evenly over crumbs.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over coconut.
  • Sprinkle butterscotch chips evenly over chocolate.
  • Pour sweetened condensed milk over the top and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts over top.

Steps:

  • 1. Add melted butter to a 13x9 baking dish.
  • 2. Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs and arrange them so they cover the entire bottom of the baking dish.
  • 3. Sprinkle the sweetened flaked coconut over the graham cracker crumbs.
  • 4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the sweetened flaked coconut.
  • 5. Sprinkle the sweetened condensed milk over the chocolate chips. Add nuts.

Steps:

  • Place the hazelnuts in a food processor; cover and process until ground. Add the confectioners' sugar and egg white; cover and process until blended., In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar on high speed for 2-3 minutes or until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually beat in hazelnut mixture, then butter. Beat in rum extract. Combine flour and salt; add to egg mixture., Divide batter into thirds. Stir red food coloring into one portion of batter; stir green food coloring into another portion. Leave remaining batter plain. Spread one portion into each of three well-greased 11x7-in. baking dishes., Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and edges begin to brown. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely., Place red layer on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet; spread with strawberry jam. Top with plain layer; spread with apricot preserves. Add green layer; press down gently., In a microwave, melt chocolate chips and shortening; stir until smooth. Spread half over green layer.
