BEST STEAK MARINADE IN EXISTENCE

This is a family recipe that has been developed only over the last 5 years. In this short time it's made me famous in our close circle, but until now I've never shared it with anyone.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence image

Steps:

  • Place the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and pepper in a blender. Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
  • Pour marinade over desired type of meat. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.

¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 ½ tablespoons dried parsley flakes

¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic

We use this marinade for rib steaks, but can be used for almost any cut of beef.

Easy Seasoned Marinade image

Steps:

  • WHISK olive oil, vinegar, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper until blended. Combine marinade with 1 to 1 1/2 pounds meat, chicken or seafood in 1-gallon resealable plastic bag.
  • MARINATE in refrigerator, turning several times: meat, 1 hour; chicken or seafood, 30 minutes. Remove meat, chicken or seafood from marinade. Discard marinade. Grill or cook as desired.

2/3 cup Crisco® Pure Olive Oil or 2/3 cup Crisco® Puritan Canola Oil with Omega-3 DHA
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tsps. minced garlic
2 1/2 tsps. Italian seasoning or dried basil leaves
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Mix dressing mix, wine and oil. Score steak on both sides, being careful not to cut more than 1/8 inch into each side of steak. Place steak in shallow dish.
  • Brush both sides of steak evenly with the salad dressing mxture; cover. Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade.
  • Preheat broiler. Broil, 2 to 3 inches from heat, for 6 to 7 min. on each side for medium doneness (160°F). With knife slanted, cut steak across the grain into thin slices.
