AMISH PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE

This one is easy and only three ingredients. Sent in by Mrs. Ray Yutzy I made it and it was not only a nice easy fudge but sat up fast and didn't taste like sugar like some do. Was a nice fudge but work fast as it was setting in the pan.

Steps:

  • 1. In heavy sauce pan boil sugar and milk to soft ball stage.
  • 2. Take off heat and add peanut butter. Poutr into a buttered pan to cool. cut and serve

1 c peanut butter

Steps:

  • In a bowl, mix corn syrup, peanut butter and marshmallow creme until thoroughly combined. Store in an air-tight container.

GRANDMA'S CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE

This old-fashioned style of peanut butter fudge is not that easy to find out there. The ones I tend to run across always seem to be the soft, creamy version, which is not what I'm into. If it's going to feel like peanut butter in my mouth, then what's the point? No, I want something that feels dense and firm in my fingers but will almost instantly liquefy in when it hits my tongue.

Grandma's Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge image

Steps:

  • Sift sugar through a fine-mesh strainer into a large bowl.
  • Heat butter and peanut butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk to combine and cook until bubbles appear on the edges, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in salt and vanilla extract. Pour over powdered sugar in the bowl. Mix together using a spatula until smooth.
  • Spread mixture into an 8x8-inch baking pan lined with plastic wrap. Wrap fully and refrigerate until firm enough to cut but not too hard, 1 to 3 hours.
  • Unwrap fudge and cut into small cubes. Let warm up on the counter before cutting if needed.

  • Combine the sugar, milk or half & half, and corn syrup in a 2 quart pan over medium heat. Stir mixture slowly but constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking and stirring constantly until the mixture reaches 234 degrees on a candy thermometer or forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water, removing the pan from the heat each time you do a water test.
  • Remove the pan from heat. Add the butter, Vanilla and peanut butter and mix until smooth. Add nuts, if using, and mix in. Immediately spread in prepared dish.
  • Place candy in a freezer or cold place until the candy is totally cooled. Cut and serve or store in an airtight container.
