- Place egg whites in a large bowl; let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Sift confectioners' sugar and flour together twice; set aside. , Add cream of tartar, vanilla and almond extract and salt to egg whites; beat on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar, about 2 tablespoons at a time, beating on high until stiff glossy peaks form and sugar is dissolved. Gradually fold in flour mixture, about 1/2 cup at a time., Gently spoon into an ungreased 10-in. tube pan. Cut through the batter with a knife to remove air pockets. Bake on the lowest oven rack at 375° for 35-40 minutes or until lightly browned and entire top appears dry. Immediately invert pan; cool completely, about 1 hour. , Run a knife around side and center tube of pan. Remove cake to a serving plate. , For glaze, melt butter in a small saucepan. Stir in the confectioners' sugar and cinnamon until blended. Add apple juice slowly until glaze is thin enough to achieve a drizzle consistency. Drizzle over cake.

GRANDMA LORRAINE'S APPLE ANGEL FOOD CAKE
Steps:
- Place apples in large bowl with 1 can soda and 1 1/2 cups water. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large skillet over medium heat melt butter. Add brown sugar, molasses, maple syrup, cinnamon and salt. Stir until sugar has dissolved and starts to simmer. Add apple brandy, pecans, raisins and apples. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 15 minutes or until apples are tender and liquid has reduced to a syrupy consistency.
- Slice angle food cake into wedges and top each slice with apple mixture.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix can of pie filling with dry cake mix. {No other ingredients} Stir until blended. Pour into a sprayed 9x13 baking dish. Top with walnuts if desired. Bake at least 25-30 minutes or when an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Note: You can use any flavor pie filling you want, so you can make lots of variations.

- Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13-by-9-inch glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. - I used my kitchen scissors and cut up the chunks of the apples so they would be more bite size, and mix more easily into the batter.
- Don’t add anything else that the back of the box says too! Also, grease and flour your pan, even though the back of the box doesn’t say too.
- I used a bundt pan instead of a square baking pan, just because I think it makes it a lot prettier. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for around 35 minutes, or till top springs back when you touch it.
