Apple Pie Spice Cake Recipes

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 10 inch tube pan. Cover raisins with warm water, let soak for 10 minutes and then drain. Whisk together flour, spices, and salt. Set aside.
• Cream together butter or margarine and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir together soda and 1 tablespoon warm water, and mix into the sugar mixture. Stir in flour mixture, apples, and strained raisins until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.
• Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until a tester comes out clean. Cool in pan. Once cool, shake pan to loosen cake. Turn onto plate, and dust with confectioners' sugar.

• Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Make, bake and cool cake as directed on box for two 9-inch rounds.
• Place each cake on serving plate. Spread 1 can pie filling on each cake to within 1/2 inch of edge. Frost sides of cakes with frosting. Spoon remaining frosting into decorating bag. Pipe frosting around top edge of each cake. Store tightly covered in refrigerator.

• Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes to an hour, until cake is brown on top and bubbling on the sides. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping.

• Grease bottom and sides of a 9 X 13 inch cake pan.
• Dump spice cake mix into a large mixing bowl. Using a fork, work out any large lumps of mix.

• I use Bakers Joy spray.
• Put apple pie filling in large bowl and chop large pieces of apple into small pieces.
• Add spice cake mix, ground cinnamon and the 3 beaten eggs.
• Beat for 1 minute on low speed.
• Scrape sides of bowl.
• Beat for 3 minutes on medium speed.
• Pour into prepared Bundt pan.
• Bake for 45-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center of cake comes out clean.
• Cool in pan on wire rack for at least 1 hour.
• Invert onto serving plate.
