ARTICHOKE-CHEESE FRENCH BREAD

Steps:
- Cut bread in half lengthwise; carefully hollow out top and bottom of loaf, leaving 1/2-in. shells. Cube removed bread; set aside., In a large bowl, combine the artichokes, pepper Jack cheese, sour cream, green chilies, garlic and 1 cup cheddar cheese. Add bread cubes and toss to coat. Spoon filling into bread shells; sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese., Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Remove foil; bake 10-15 minutes longer or until heated through. Slice and serve warm.

Steps:
- Pour flour into a shallow bowl; beat egg in a separate bowl. Dredge artichoke hearts in flour and then coat with egg.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir artichoke hearts in the hot oil until browned, about 5 minutes. Transfer cooked artichoke hearts to a bowl.
- Pour oil out of skillet and wipe clean with a paper towel; return to stove top. Heat butter in the skillet over medium heat; pour in lemon juice. Return artichoke hearts to skillet and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese; pour in sherry. Season with salt and pepper; stir well.
- Remove artichoke hearts from skillet using a slotted spoon and transfer to a serving dish. Boil sauce until reduced, 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over artichoke hearts; garnish with parsley.

GARLICKY, CHEESY FRENCH BREAD W/ ARTICHOKE HEARTS
This is wonderful with all the different cheeses, garlic and the artichokes are a nice bonus. This has a lot of garlic, but I don't think it's overpowering with all the other flavors. Toasting the pieces of French bread in butter is genius. This would be a great side dish or work as an easy appetizer.

- 1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut French bread in half length-wise. Place halves on aluminum foil covered baking sheet. Tear out soft inner portion of bread in large chunks, leaving crusts intact.
- 2. Melt butter in a large skillet and stir in garlic. Add bread chunks and saute until bread is golden and butter is absorbed. Remove from heat.
- 3. Combine sour cream, Jack cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes and lemon pepper seasoning. Stir in drained artichoke hearts (cut into smaller pieces, if desired) and toasted bread mixture; mix well.
- 4. Spoon into bread crust shells and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until heated through and cheese has melted. If desired, sprinkle with olives and/or green onions. Enjoy!

- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, 1 cup mozzarella, the Parmesan, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Fold in the spinach and artichoke hearts.
- Set the French bread on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up. Spread the spinach artichoke mixture over both halves of the bread. Top with the remaining 2 cups of mozzarella.
- Bake the garlic bread for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted. Turn the broiler to high and broil for 1-2 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
- Let the garlic bread cool for about 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
- Enjoy!

- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add the garlic to the melted butter and set aside for a minute. Mix the artichokes, jack cheese, parmesan cheese, green onions,sour cream and mayo. Add the butter and garlic mixture.
- 2. Cut bread in half lengthwise. Pull some of the bread out of the top and bottom halves to make a "bed". Add about 1/2 of the pulled bread to the artichoke mixture. Stir to blend. Spoon artichoke mixture into the bread shells and sprinkle with the sharp cheddar cheese. (you may wish to use more. I sometimes do) Place on a baking sheet and cover with foil that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into slices......mmmmmm

I got this off a Hellmann's coupon, I think. It is super duper easy & extremely good. I made this for the first time last week for friends,and they raved & raved. It's like artichoke dip already on the bread! I liked it a bit broiled on top.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Halve baguette lengthwise; scoop out center with your fingers, and tear into small pieces. Set bread shells aside.
- Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Add bread pieces and garlic; cook until bread is golden brown, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine browned bread, sour cream, cheddar, Monterey Jack, artichoke hearts, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper; stir together.
