My mother first tried this fast and easy recipe more than 20 years ago, and we've been enjoying it ever since.

Honeyed Chicken image

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the butter, honey, mustard and curry; set aside. Place chicken skin side down in a greased 8-in. square baking dish; brush with sauce. Turn chicken skin side up; brush with sauce., Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 35-40 minutes or until chicken juices run clear, basting often.

1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon curry powder
1 to 1-1/4 pounds meaty bone-in chicken pieces

Steps:

  • This dish can be made 2 ways.
  • Quickest and easiest: Heat soups, chicken and cheese in pan on stove until cheese is melted, add noodles, heat through.
  • Casserole method: Combine all ingredients in greased casserole, top with croutons, bake at 350 for about an hour.
  • If you like it cheesier, add more.
  • If it looks a little dry, you can add milk to it.

Curried Honey Mustard Chicken image

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl combine the melted butter/margarine, honey, mustard, curry powder and cayenne powder. Mix well. Place chicken breasts in a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour honey/mustard mixture over chicken. Cover and place in refrigerator. Marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Remove dish from refrigerator and bake, covered, in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove cover and bake about 10 minutes more, or until done and juices run clear (baking time will depend a little on how thick your chicken breasts are).

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place chicken breasts into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Whisk butter, honey, mustard, salt, and curry powder together in a bowl until smooth; pour sauce evenly over chicken.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until sauce is bubbling and chicken is no longer pink inside, 30 to 45 minutes. An instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a breast should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
