BACON-WRAPPED SMOKIES
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika and cayenne pepper and mix well. Set aside.
- Slice the bacon strips into thirds. Wrap each frank with a piece of bacon, secure with a toothpick and place on a baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining franks and bacon. Thoroughly coat each bacon-wrapped frank in the brown sugar mixture and place back on the baking sheet.
- Bake until the bacon is crispy, 12 to 15 minutes. The rub has a lot of sugar in it, so make sure to turn halfway through the cooking process so the bottoms do not burn.
COCKTAIL WIENERS
A sweet and savory treat for any get-together that will sure be a crowd pleaser. It's cheap and easy to make in a slow cooker with only three ingredients. I make this for any get-together and it is always a hit! I was a little unsure at first about the grape jelly concoction, but I tried it and have never done it any other way. It is so savory with just enough sweet. I always receive or over hear lots of agreement with the taste of the sauce. It always disappears at parties, and the next day I have cravings for these cocktail wienies. Try it for your next potluck, back yard BBQ, or any event!

BACON COCKTAIL WEENIES
This is my most requested recipe for parties. Everyone is always stunned at how simple the ingredients are. If you are serving a large number of people, you may want to double the recipe, I have seen folks stumble over each other to reach the last weenie on the platter!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray 9x13 inch cake pan with non stick spray.
- (not neccessary but will definately help with clean up) Open package of bacon and cut entire slab into thirds.
- Wrap a third of a slice of bacon around each cocktail weenie and secure with toothpicks.
- Place each bacon wrapped weenie in cake pan, making sure to crowd them together.
- (You'll want to leave an empty space in one corner of pan for ease of basting.) Liberally cover weenies with brown sugar, leaving only the toothpicks exposed.
- Place weenies in hot oven.
- Every 10 minutes or so, baste weenies with sugar/bacon grease mixture and break up any lumps of sugar.
- Continue until sugar is completely melted and bacon is thoroughly cooked.
- When serving, be sure to drizzle sugar/bacon grease over weenies and on the platter.
- Some people like to swirl their weenies in the syrup before cramming them in their mouths.
- I've never really timed this recipe, but I'm going to guesstimate the time at@30-40 minutes.
- Servings also depend on the crowd you are feeding.
- My crew will argue that 15-20 weenies qualify as a serving!

BACON WRAPPED WEINERS
A cousin of mine loves cooking and shares all her favorites with me. This one came several years ago, I served these to a group and the requests have never ended. These are addictive and delicious.

Steps:
- Line large baking sheet with foil (we don't always do this, but it's easier for cleanup).
- Cut bacon into thirds, resulting in several 3" strips.
- wrap each weiner with bacon, line them loosely in the pan as you go.
- Cover with brown sugar, it'll seem like a lot of sugar, but it cooks down
- Bake 375 for 45 minutes. Broil at the end until top is crisped.
- Hurry and get your share before everyone eats them all!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and lightly spray with cooking oil.
- Cut the bacon into thirds. Tightly wrap a third of a bacon slice around one sausage, and place it onto the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Repeat with remaining bacon and sausage. Make sure the bacon wrapped sausages are lined in one layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove the sausages from the oven and transfer to a large skillet. Heat over medium-high heat until the bacon is crispy. Sprinkle a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar on top and toss to evenly coat. Transfer to an oven safe serving dish and place under the broiler until the sugar is bubbly. Serve hot, warm or at room temperature. Provide toothpicks for easy serving.
- Recipe Note: Instead of crisping the sausages in the skillet after baking, you can also bake them for a longer time at a higher temperature, while sprinkled with brown sugar. Just keep your eye on it and remove from oven when they reach your desired crispiness. (They do crisp up a little more as they set, as well.)

- It is easiest to wrap the weiners with cold bacon, so don't remove bacon from the refrigerator until you are ready to use it. Wrap each cocktail weiner with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on a large baking sheet with sides and repeat until all weiners are wrapped.
- Press brown sugar generously over the top of each bacon wrapped weiner. Place pan in oven and bake for about 40 minutes, or until sugar is bubbly. Serve immediately. If desired, place the baked weiners in a slow cooker on the low heat setting, to keep them warm.
