This version of the Italian-inspired classic dish combines ground beef, peppers, and sauteed onions, baked with penne and PHILADELPHIA Italian Cheese and Herb Cooking Creme, and topped with Mozzarella cheese.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Brown meat with vegetables in large nonstick skillet. Stir in spaghetti sauce, 3/4 cup cooking creme and 1/2 cup mozzarella: cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until mozzarella is melted. Add pasta; mix lightly.
  • Spoon into 2-qt. casserole; top with remaining cooking creme and mozzarella. Cover.
  • Bake 20 min. or until heated through, uncovering after 15 min.

  • Brown meat in large skillet on medium heat; drain. Return meat to skillet.
  • Add pasta sauce and water; mix well. Stir in pasta.
  • Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 16 to 18 min. or until pasta is tender; stir.
  • Top with cheese; cover. Cook 1 min. or until cheese is melted.

  • Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add ham, red pepper and onion; cook and stir 4-6 minutes or until ham is browned and vegetables are tender. Add garlic and herbs; cook 1-2 minutes longer., Stir in broth and lemon juice. Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray bottom of 12-inch cast-iron skillet with cooking spray.
  • In stockpot or Dutch oven, cook pasta to al dente as directed on package.
  • In large bowl, stir together both sauces and 1 cup of the cheese. Add cooked pasta; stir gently to combine. Pour into skillet.
  • Bake 25 minutes. Sprinkle remaining cup of cheese over top; bake 5 to 7 minutes longer or until cheese is bubbly. Serve immediately.

Steps:

  • Cook penne according to package directions until almost cooked. Preheat oven to 350*.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil, then add onion, garlic and mushrooms; stir fry until onion is translucent. Remove to a plate.
  • Crumble beef in skillet; add basil, thyme, parsley, black pepper and oregano. Cook through; drain.

Steps:

  • In oven proof skilled cook garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes for 5 minutes or until garlic is browned.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, sugar, water, penne, and salt.
  • Cook on medium heat for 15-18 minutes. If penne gets too dry add a little water.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Once penne is cooked, stir in cream, parmesan, basil, and pepper.
  • Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake in oven for 10-15 minutes until top is crispy.
  • Serve with a nice salad and some garlic bread on the side.
