GROUND BEEF TURNOVERS
Meet the Cook: Traditional meat pies aren't among my husband's favorites. He likes these so much, however, that he even eats them cold! I've found they're a great lunch for a haying crew as well. Brian and I have a son, 11 months. -Wendy Tomlinson, Echo Bay, Ontario

BEEF AND SWEET POTATO TURNOVERS
This was a recipe posted in Real Simple magazine. My Mother-in-law made it and it is wonderful! The puff pastry bakes up to a wonderful golden brown and is so light and flaky. This could be used with any kind of cheese and would be great with some cooked onions added to the mixture. I personally don't think you can taste the sweet potato very much, but it adds a slightly sweet flavor.

This is down home cooking! I love barbecue sauce, so this is a favorite of mine. I also think I use way more cheese than listed (cheese is my downfall!)
