Basil And Jalapeno Lemonade Recipes
BASIL LEMONADE
I tweaked this recipe it to make a refreshing drink. I love basil and this recipe has a wonderful basil-infused flavor. Delicious on a warm day or with grilled chicken. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh basil and lemon slices.

Steps:
- Stir water, lemonade, sugar, and lime juice together in a pitcher. Add 1/2 cup basil leaves, stir to combine, cover the pitcher, and refrigerate until flavors combine, 8 hours to overnight. Remove basil leaves and discard.

BASIL AND JALAPENO LEMONADE
The jalapeno flavor is a nice finish to the sweet lemonade. Try this out. You'll be surprised! Pleasantly! There is ZERO heat from the jalapeno in this concoction. Even my kids drink it up! It is Fabulous!

Steps:
- Simple Syrup: In large saucepan combine water, sugar, basil, mint and whole jalapeno. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer. Continue simmering for 20 minutes. Strain simple syrup and discard jalapeno and leaves. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours - overnight is best.
- In very large punch container combine syrup, soda and juice.
- Serve over ice. Garnish with fresh basil or mint, if desired.

- Melt butter in very large pot over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and jalapeño; stir until garlic is golden, about 2 minutes. Add tomato sauce, wine, and lemon juice and bring to boil. Add clams; cover and boil until clams open, about 9 minutes (discard any clams that do not open). Add basil and lemon peel. Season with pepper. Transfer clams and sauce to large bowl and serve.
