Berries With Spiced Cream Recipes

Steps:
- Combine the red wine, star anise, cinnamon stick, cloves, brown sugar and salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain into a medium bowl. Add the berries and stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, 2 hours.
- To serve, spoon some of the berries and mulled wine into a coupe glass. Top with a scoop of frozen yogurt and garnish with some freshly grated cinnamon.

Steps:
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Gradually stir in milk until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add a small amount to eggs; return all to pan, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2-1/2 minutes or until mixture reaches 160°., Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream and vanilla. Set saucepan in ice and stir mixture for 5 minutes. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Serve over berries.

- Scrape seeds from vanilla bean into a medium bowl. Add chilled cream, sour cream, and sugar. Using a whisk or electric mixer, beat until soft peaks form. DO AHEAD: Cream can be made 30 minutes ahead. Cover and chill.
