BEST STEAK MARINADE IN EXISTENCE

This is a family recipe that has been developed only over the last 5 years. In this short time it's made me famous in our close circle, but until now I've never shared it with anyone.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence image

Steps:

  • Place the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and pepper in a blender. Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
  • Pour marinade over desired type of meat. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.

1 ½ tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 ½ tablespoons dried parsley flakes

¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic

Italian Marinated Sirloin Steak image

Steps:

  • Whisk the olive oil, vinegar, garlic, rosemary, parsley, oregano, honey, red pepper flakes and 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Transfer 3 tablespoons of the vinaigrette to a small bowl; cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Combine the remaining vinaigrette with the steak in a large resealable bag; turn the bag several times to coat the meat. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight, turning the bag occasionally.
  • Preheat a grill to high. Transfer the steak to a plate or baking sheet, letting the excess marinade drip off; season the steak with salt and pepper. Let stand at room temperature, 30 minutes. Grill the steak until a thermometer inserted into the thickest side reaches 130 degrees F, 16 to 20 minutes for medium rare, flipping every 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer the meat to a cutting board and let rest 10 minutes. Thinly slice the meat against the grain; serve with the reserved vinaigrette.

  • Place steak in a shallow dish. Combine the remaining ingredients; pour over the meat. Turn to coat; cover and refrigerate overnight. , Remove meat; discard marinade. Grill, uncovered, over medium heat for 6-7 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°).

Steps:

  • Combine dry ingredients in one bowl. Combine liquid ingredients in another.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients in gallon-size ziplock bag. Mix ingredients together.
  • Place steaks in ziplock bag.
  • Allow to marinade for at least 3-4 hours.
  • Heat grill to 600 F.
  • Place steaks on preheated grill. Brush extra marinade on top of steaks. Close lid.
  • Flip steaks after 5 minutes. Brush extra marinade on steaks again.
  • Flip steaks again after 4 minutes. Allow steaks to cook for 1 additional minute.
