PERFECT POPCORN
Steps:
- Place the oil, popcorn and salt in a large, 6-quart, metal mixing bowl. Cover with heavy-duty aluminum foil and poke 10 slits in the top with a knife.
- Place the bowl over medium heat and shake constantly using a pair of tongs to hold the bowl. Continue shaking until the popcorn finishes popping, approximately 3 minutes.
- Remove the bowl from the heat and carefully remove the foil. Stir in any salt that is on the side of the bowl.
- Melt the butter in the microwave. Slowly drizzle over the popcorn, while spinning the bowl. Serve immediately.

Steps:
- Combine the Parmesan, garlic salt, paprika, pepper, salt and turmeric in a small bowl. Combine the popping corn and melted butter in a large pot. Cover and cook over medium heat, shaking the pot with increasing frequency as the popping increases. Continue until the popping is reduced to a couple of seconds between pops, then remove from the heat and transfer the popcorn to a large brown bag. Drizzle the popcorn with the olive oil and sprinkle about 3 tablespoons of the seasoning into the bag. Shake up the popcorn. Sprinkle with additional seasoning to taste and serve warm.
BACON POPCORN
This is a flavorful popcorn treat that makes your mouth water and disappears fast! If you toss the cooked popcorn in a paper bag, it helps to absorb any extra grease, and keeps kernels from falling to the floor. The leftovers make nice snacks for lunch boxes.

Steps:
- Measure the bacon grease into a 6 quart pot and place over high heat. Add one or two popcorn kernels as testers. When the test kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn and cover with a lid. As the popcorn starts to pop, shake the pan back and forth constantly to keep the unpopped kernels on the bottom where they can pop. When the popping slows down, remove the pan from the heat and let it finish popping.
- Pour the popcorn into a large bowl or paper sack. Season with half of the seasoned salt and stir. Taste before adding more salt if desired. Toss with bacon bits and shredded Cheddar cheese for an extra special treat. Store leftovers in lunch sacks or sandwich bags.

POPCORN FOR BREAKFAST!?!
This is another recipe I just remembered, and I tried it from a Sesame Street cookbook I used to own. I don't remember the actual name of the cookbook. I don't remember the ingredient amounts anymore, but do remember what the ingredients were. This works best with air-popped popcorn or popcorn popped in a pan with just a bit of canola oil. I have no idea how this would taste with soy milk, but back then I didn't have to worry about IBS. I used 1% milk and ate this just like cereal. It was yummy. This would be a fun breakfast treat for kids now and then. Hope you enjoy it! Estimated to serve one child. ETA: This probably will turn soggy fast, but I don't know how to prevent it. Maybe using less milk will help, but I'm not sure.

BREAKFAST POPCORN
My 6 year old and I read Tomie De Paola's "The Popcorn Book" again yesterday. There is lots of neat information about popcorn in this book, including historical info. One thing mentioned is that "The colonists liked it so much that they served popped corn for breakfast with cream poured on it." So, being the adventurous parent that I am (*LOL*), we decided to try it. This is written for 1 serving. We tripled it so both kids and myself could try it. Honestly, we thought it was really good!
