S'MORES BROWNIES

No campfire needed for these S'mores Brownies. With just three extra ingredients: marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers, you can transform a box of Betty Crocker™ Supreme Original Brownie Mix into S'mores Brownies with a twist. This S'mores Brownies recipe is super easy; just top your brownies with mini marshmallows and graham crackers before placing under the broiler until everything is golden brown and toasty. Now for our favorite part, sprinkle with Hershey's milk chocolate squares and enjoy an ooey, gooey S'mores Brownie. Your kids will love this recipe.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease bottom of 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray. Make and bake brownies as directed on box. After removing pan from oven, set oven control to broil.
  • Immediately sprinkle marshmallows and graham crackers over warm brownies. Broil with top 4 to 5 inches from heat 30 to 60 seconds or until marshmallows are golden brown. (Watch carefully; marshmallows and graham crackers will brown quickly.) Sprinkle with candy. Cool on cooling rack, about 3 hours until chocolate is set. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Combine cracker crumbs, sugar and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter. Press onto bottom of an ungreased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake until lightly browned, 7-9 minutes. Cool on a wire rack., For brownies, melt unsweetened chocolate on high in a microwave, stirring every 30 seconds. Cool slightly. Cream butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition; beat in melted chocolate and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Fold in 1 cup miniature marshmallows. , Spread batter over graham cracker crust. Top with 1 cup marshmallows and broken graham crackers. Bake until center is set, 18-22 minutes (do not overbake).

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray; set aside.
  • Make brownie mix batter as directed on box. Pour half of batter into baking dish.
  • Break 2 graham cracker rectangles into 4 squares. Place on top of batter. Break remaining graham cracker rectangle into smaller rectangles; place over batter to fill in spaces.
  • Place pieces of chocolate in 3 rows by 3 rows. Place 1 marshmallow ghost on top of each chocolate piece. Pour remaining batter over top.
  • Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour, before cutting and serving.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. , Spread into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs (do not overbake)., Preheat broiler. Sprinkle baked brownies with cereal and marshmallows; broil 5-6 in. from heat until marshmallows are golden brown, 30-45 seconds. Immediately sprinkle with chopped chocolate. Cover with foil and let stand until chocolate begins to melt, about 5 minutes. Remove foil and cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

Steps:

  • For the graham cracker layer: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment, leaving a 1-inch overhang on each side.
  • Add the graham crackers, cinnamon, chili powder and salt to a food processor and pulse to break up. Add the butter and pulse until the ingredients are combined and the mixture resembles sand. Press the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Refrigerate while you make the brownie layer.
  • For the brownie layer: Combine the eggs, sugars and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Mix until well combined. Add the melted butter, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ancho chile powder and salt. Stir to combine, but take care to not overmix. Add the chocolate chips and fold in.
  • Spread the entire brownie layer mixture over the top of the graham cracker crust. Bake until the top is dry and firm, about 40 minutes. (A cake tester will not come out clean because the brownies are so fudgy!) Let them cool completely.
  • For the marshmallow frosting: Turn the oven to the broil setting. Adjust the oven rack so it's 6 inches from the heat source.
  • Spread the mini marshmallows on an unlined sheet tray, then broil until toasty and charred, about 1 minute. (As an alternative, use a kitchen torch and char until you have your desired level of darkness.) Let cool to touch.
  • Add the butter and powdered sugar to a bowl and beat until fluffy and well mixed. Add the marshmallow creme and vanilla and stir until combined. Set aside.
  • Spread the marshmallow frosting over the top of the cooled brownie. Add the charred mini marshmallows all over.
  • Remove from the pan and cut into squares.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Line 13x9-inch pan with Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Cover bottom with 15 grahams, overlapping as necessary to form even layer. Break remaining grahams into small pieces.
  • Microwave butter and unsweetened chocolate in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in flour. Pour over grahams in pan.
  • Bake 30 to 32 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Top with marshmallows and semi-sweet chocolate. Bake 3 to 5 min. or until marshmallows begin to puff.
  • Top with graham pieces; press gently into marshmallows with spatula to secure. Cool. Use foil handles to lift brownie from pan before cutting to serve.
