CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES

Whenever I take these to a gathering, someone will usually announce. "Lisa brought those brownies"-and everyone knows exactly which ones they are! We live on 10-1/2 acres out in the country with our daughters, 7 and 4.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°. Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. In a large microwave-safe bowl, microwave chocolate and butter on high until butter is melted; stir until smooth. Whisk in sugar until blended. Whisk in extracts and eggs, one at a time. Stir in flour mixture. Pour half of the batter into a greased 8-in. square baking dish., Beat together filling ingredients until blended; spoon over batter in pan. Spoon remaining batter over top. Swirl gently with a knife., Bake until filling is set, 35-40 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack 1 hour. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Cut into bars. Refrigerate leftovers.

Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Brownies image

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients for chocolate chip cookies in the order listed above. Divide into two parts and set aside.
  • 2. In a second bowl, mix all cream cheese filling ingredients until smooth.
  • 3. Spread one part of cookie dough on the bottom of greased 13 X 9 pan. (Mine measures 13 3/4 by 9 1/2). It will help if your hands are wet, otherwise, the dough will stick to your fingers.
  • 4. Pour the cream cheese filling over the cookie dough.
  • 5. Top the filling with the remaining dough by creating dabs of dough (or little pancakes of dough). Once again it will help if your fingers are wet.
  • 6. Bake at 350 F for about 50 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
  • 7. Cool and divide into bite-size pieces (about 40 or so). Enjoy it as much as we do!

1 1/4 c brown sugar, light
3/4 c Crisco
2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 c chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts), optional
CREAM CHEESE FILLING:
2 pkg cream cheese (8 oz. each)
1 c sugar
2 Tbsp vanilla extract
2 eggs

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Brownies image

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together shortening, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup white sugar. Beat in the 3 eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; blend into the sugar mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the cream cheese and 1/4 cup white sugar. Mix in the 2 remaining eggs.
  • Spread 1/2 of chocolate chip dough in bottom of the prepared pan. Pour cream cheese batter on top of dough. Sprinkle with pecans. Drop pieces of the remaining chocolate chip batter over filling. Don't worry if there are gaps; the batter will spread.
  • Bake for 45 minutes in preheated oven, or until lightly browned on the top. Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into bars.

Cream Cheese Brownies With Chocolate Chips image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Butter and lighly flour 8x8-inch cake pan.
  • Combine the flour and salt. Set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a small, heavy-based saucepan, then stir in the cocoa until blended and set aside.
  • Beat the eggs until light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add the sugar and stir in the chocolate mixture.
  • Sift the flour/salt mixture over the top and fold into the mixture.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Cream Cheese Mixture:.
  • Whisk together cream cheese and egg and sugar (or use an electric mixer).
  • Sift 1/4 cup self-rising flour over this mixture and fold in .
  • Add 1 teaspoons vanilla extract.
  • Pour three-quarters of the brownie mixture into the prepared pan and spread the cream cheese mixture over it.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie mixture on top, making swirls with a knife.
  • Bake 35-40 minutes, or until the top is springy to the touch, being careful not to over bake.
  • Cool brownies in the pan, then cut into squares.
  • Enjoy!

  • In a large bowl prepare the brownie batter by mixing the melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Mix well. Add cream cheese batter to brownie batter and mix until incorporated. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter in a greased, foil-lined 8x8 or 9x9 inch pan. (9x9 inch pan will yield thinner brownies) Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out mostly clean. Allow to cool completely.
  • When the brownies are cooled, prepare the frosting. Blend together melted chocolate and cream cheese until smooth. Add vanilla and mix again until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar. Add milk to thin frosting to a spreadable consistency. Spread on cooled brownies. Allow frosting to set up (at least 30 minutes) before cutting into squares. Store in airtight container.
