NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE RICE KRISPIE BARS
These chocolate Rice Krispies treats are crowd pleasers! The secret to making them soft and chewy is bringing the sugar mixture just to a boil and then cooking for only one minute. If it boils too long, they tend to be firmer and can become crumbly. -Dawn Lowenstein, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania

- In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add sugars, baking cocoa, milk and salt; bring to a boil. Cook and stir over medium heat for 1 minute. Remove from the heat. Stir in Nutella, marshmallow creme and extract until melted. Stir in Rice Krispies., Press into a greased 15x10x1-in. pan; cool slightly. Sprinkle with toffee bits; refrigerate until set. Cut into squares; store in an airtight container.

CHOCOLATE FLAVORED RICE KRISPIE BARS
When I'm in the mood for something sweet and chocolatey, I'll make these rice krispie bars. They are scrumptious! When it's time to add the chocolate chips, sometimes I'll add a 1/3 cup, (slightly heaping) and other times I'll add a 1/2 cup. The amount of chocolate chips you'd like to add, is totally up to you!

Steps:
- 1. Butter the inside of one 13x9x2-inch cake pan, then set the pan aside.
- 2. In a large stock-pot, melt the 5 tablespoons of butter over very low heat. (Whenever I make rice krispie bars, I use an 8-quart Teflon coated stock-pot.)
- 3. After the butter's melted in the pot, add the miniature marshmallows, and stir until the marshmallows have completely melted.
- 4. Once the marshmallows have completely melted, add the chocolate chips, and stir until the chips have melted through.
- 5. Remove pot from the heat, add the cereal, and stir until the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- 6. Press the marshmallow/cereal mixture into the buttered pan.
- 7. Let bars sit for 2-3 hours, before cutting them.

- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, stirring continuously. Once it’s melted, add in the marshmallows and continue stirring until they have completely melted with the butter. Remove from stove top.
- Stir in the rice krispies and stir until they are evenly coated with the melted marshmallow and butter, stir in the chocolate chips and stir to combine with the krispi mixture. Continue stirring until the chips have completely melted into the cereal and marshmallows.
- Line a 9x13 baking pan with wax paper, or coat with butter. Use a lightly sprayed rubber spatula, and pour the krispi mixture into the pan. Use the back of a spatula or a piece of wax paper over the treats, and press into the pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if desired. Allow the treats to cool, and the marshmallows to set, about 30 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.
