- Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, cook the beef, green pepper and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and green pepper is tender; drain. , Drain pasta; add to the beef mixture with the tomatoes, soup, cheese and salt. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350° for 30-40 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with onions and bake 5 minutes longer.

This is a long time family favorite that my husband, a very picky eater, learned to love and asked to make often. The original recipe asked for a lot more of the seasoned salt (3/4 tablespoons), but I have learned less is better. It is fast, easy and delicious.

Steps:
- 1. Brown the ground beef. Prepare pasta as package directions specify, omitting salt.
- 2. In large bowl, add cooked pasta, browned ground beef, cheese, soup, green pepper, tomatoes and seasoned salt. Mix together.
- 3. Place mixture in a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, covered.
- 4. Uncover and sprinkle French fried onions over the top. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.

- Cook the macaroni as directed on the package; rinse and draine.
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over med-high heat until no longer pink; drain the fat.
- Combine all the ingredients except the French-fried onions in the casserole dish.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover, top with the French-fried onions, and bake for 5 minutes longer.
