DR. PEPPER PORK CHOPS
These pork chops are a snap to prepare. Just mix up ingredients, pour over chops and get ready to eat. They are sort of like barbequed pork chops and smell great while cooking. A Corn Casserole goes great with these.

Steps:
- Pre heat the oven to 400 F degrees.
- Place the pork chops in a baking pan or glass casserole dish large enough so the sides of the chops are not touching.
- In a small mixing bowl whisk together the Dr.Ppper,ketchup, Worcestershire Sauce and oregano.
- Pour the mixture over the chops.
- Place the baking pan in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the desired tenderness.
- Serve with a small amount of the juices over the meat.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
- 2. In 9x13-inch pan, mix all ingredients except the meat.
- 3. Place in oven fifteen minutes, stir.
- 4. Place pork chops into mixture. Cover pan with foil.
- 5. Bake three hours.
- 6. Cooks note: Remove chops with slotted spatula, but be careful. They are so tender, the meat will fall right off the bone.
PEPPER PORK CHOPS
Alton Brown brines his pepper pork chops for a best-of-both-worlds result: juicy meat with plenty of flavor. He adds a pound of ice to quick-cool the brine so the pork doesn't have to wait around any longer than necessary.

- Combine the vegetable broth, 1/2 cup kosher salt, brown sugar and peppercorns in a medium saucepan and set over medium-high heat. Cook just until the salt and sugar dissolve, and then remove from the heat and add the ice. Place the pork chops into a 2-gallon zip-top bag along with the brine and seal. Place in a plastic container and refrigerate overnight.
- Remove the chops from the brine, rinse and pat dry. Sprinkle on both sides with the remaining 2 teaspoons kosher salt and set aside.
- Place the apples in a 5 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker.
- Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons of the olive oil in a 12-inch stainless steel saute pan over medium-high heat. Saute the pork chops on both sides until golden brown, 5 to 6 minutes per side. Once browned, place the pork chops into the slow cooker atop the apples. Add the remaining 1/2 tablespoon olive oil to the pan, followed by the onions, and saute until they begin to brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the chicken broth to the pan to deglaze. Add the black pepper and thyme and stir to combine. Transfer this to the slow cooker, set to high, cover and cook for 1 1/2 hours. Decrease the heat to low and continue cooking until the pork is tender and falling away from the bone, another 4 hours and 30 minutes.

- Combine soda and 1/2 cup barbeque sauce in a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®). Add pork tenderloin. Close and lock the lid. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 50 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
- Release pressure using the natural-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, 10 to 40 minutes.
- Remove pork loin and drain liquid from the pot. Shred pork using 2 forks. Return to the pot and mix in remaining 1 1/2 cups barbeque sauce.
- Serve on hamburger buns and top with coleslaw.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
- In a bowl, stir together the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, soda, garlic, and pepper until the sugar has dissolved. Set the sauce aside. Place the pork chops on the prepared baking sheet.
