This cake was popular during the Depression, and does not have eggs in it.

Steps:
- Sift flour, sugar, salt, soda, and cocoa together into a 9 x 13 inch ungreased cake pan. Make three wells. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, and vanilla into third well. Pour cold water over all, and stir well with fork.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes, or until tooth pick inserted comes out clean. Frost with your favorite icing.

- Preheat Easy Bake Oven 15 minutes
- Mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add vanilla, vinegar and vegetable oil. Place in a greased toy cake pan. Pour 1 tablespoon of water over batter. Mix lightly with a fork but do not beat.
- Bake 10 minutes.
- Makes 1 serving.

Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour a 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Beat together butter and 1 egg until smooth.
- Mix in dry cake mix just until crumbly.
- Pat mixture down in pan and sprinkle with nuts.
- Beat together cream cheese, remaining 2 eggs, powered sugar, and vanilla and pour over mixture already in pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until lightly browned.
