POLYNESIAN MARINADE

A simple marinade of pineapple juice, steak sauce and ground ginger adds terrific tropical flavor to steak, chicken and fish.

Polynesian Marinade image

Steps:

  • Mix ingredients until blended.
  • Pour over steak, chicken or fish in shallow dish. Refrigerate 1 hour to marinate, turning after 30 min.
  • Remove meat from marinade; discard marinade. Cook meat as desired until done.

1/4 cup A.1. Original Sauce
1/2 tsp. ground ginger

ALL PURPOSE HAWAIIAN MARINADE

I originally concocted this recipe for a party I hostessed. I used it on chicken thighs and legs, but since then, I've tried it beef and pork, as well. I also think it would be awesome on tuna steaks or shrimp! I've also used Pineapple Coconut Juice and it's EXCELLENT. Enough for 3 lbs meat of choice.

All Purpose Hawaiian Marinade image

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together. Allow meat to marinate in zip top baggies for 12 to 48 hours.
  • Remove meat from bags and pour marinade into sauce pan. Bring to boil over medium high heat and for 10 minutes.
  • Baste meat with marinade in between flips on the grill.

3 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
2 cups soy sauce
1 cup dry sherry
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon fresh gingerroot, grated
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 green onions, diced
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
meat or poultry, of your choice

EASY POLYNESIAN MARINADE

This is an incredibly simple marinade, but delicious! My dad got it from a Polynesian friend at work- It goes great with tofu, chicken, or any other meat, and is very easy to remember and double.

Steps:

  • Pour it all in a large zip loc. Shake well.
  • Add your raw meat such as steak,pork,chicken parts of chicken breasts or veggies. I have also prethreaded shish kebabs and it worked great.
  • Grill on indirect heat of a good bbq grill. I use hickory wood chips on the coals to really enhance this.
  • Enjoy!
  • It's fat free.

Polynesian Roast Beef image

Steps:

  • Cut roast in half; brush with browning sauce if desired. Combine the flour, salt and pepper; rub over meat. Place onion in a 3-qt. slow cooker; top with roast. , Drain pineapple, reserving juice; refrigerate the pineapple slices. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cornstarch and ginger; whisk in the broth, soy sauce, garlic and reserved pineapple juice until smooth. Pour over meat.
